Origin
Pineapple is a tropical fruit native to South America, specifically the region between southern Brazil and Paraguay. It was later spread throughout the Caribbean, Central America, and Mexico by the indigenous people. European explorers encountered pineapple during their voyages, and it was brought back to Europe in the 16th century. Today, pineapple is cultivated in many tropical regions around the world, including Southeast Asia, Hawaii, and parts of Africa.
