Something you can make with Tequila

Origin
Tequila is an alcoholic beverage made from the blue agave plant, which is native to Mexico. It is believed that the production of Tequila dates back to the 16th century when Spanish conquistadors arrived in Mexico and encountered the native Aztecs. The Aztecs had been fermenting the sap of the agave plant for centuries to produce a drink called pulque. The Spanish settlers distilled this pulque to create what we now know as Tequila. The town of Tequila, located in the state of Jalisco, Mexico, became the center of Tequila production and is where the drink got its name. Today, Tequila is a protected designation of origin (PDO) product, meaning it can only be produced in specific regions of Mexico using specific methods.
